It is understood that it is normal for all students to experience anxiety about test taking. However, there are some who experience debilitating forms of anxiety around test/exam taking that significantly impacts exam performance.

Certificate in Adult Education registration opens Monday, January 30, 2012 @ noon for CAE courses being offered in both the Winter Two and Spring terms.

​At 1:00PM on Thursday 22 December 2011 the AIR website will be unavailable due to server upgrade/maintenance. The outage is scheduled to last between 1 and 3 hours.

Convocation is the most important celebration in an academic institution. Come celebrate and honour your students achievements at the January 2012 Convocation ceremonies.

Please remind students who are graduting this year to complete the Application to Graduate form and submit no later than October 28, 2011 to be considered for inclusion in the January 2012 Convocation ceremonies.

The School of Learning Innovation invites ELECTRONIC submissions to the College Program Innovation Fund. Deadline for submissions is Noon, Friday 7 October 2011.

Excuses, anger and arguments fueled from students' perception of unfair exams can be a real headache. How can you create exams that avoid grading backlash and student appeals? Sharepoint Login is required.

Nominations are currently being sought for Red River College's 2011 Distinguished Alumni Award, an award that honours grads who have distinguished themselves in both their chosen profession and the community, while recognizing their outstanding personal and professional achievements.

College week is an annual week of events and activities for College staff starting on Monday with a Wellness breakfast and ending on Friday with the President’s Town Hall address.

With convocation fast approaching, College Relations is looking for human-interest stories of our graduates.

Starting on Monday March 22nd and continuing on for the next 4-5 weeks, there will be noon-hour sessions discussing the differences between teaching with the college's new LMS system (called LEARN), and teaching using Class Sites within the College's Portal (go.rrc.ca).

On Monday, March 22 in the South Gym (Notre Dame Campus) and on Tuesday, March 23 in the Multipurpose Room (Princess Street Campus), the Diversity and Immigrant Student Support department will be holding their annual diversity event to acknowledge the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. This is a great opportunity for students and staff to increase their global knowledge.

Red River College has partnered with MTS mobility to notify staff and students of potential threats to safety and security on campus. The Campus Alerting System is designed to send a time-stamped SMS Text message to registered staff and students in case of an immediate threat to health and safety, a lockdown, or to inform recipients of a campus closure.

The Canadian Network for Innovation in Education (CNIE) offers monthly Wise and Witty Wednesdays, (professional development workshops delivered via web casting*) on a variety of issues facing Education. This session will explore the impact on education of the current national and international financial crisis.

“Clickers” or Classroom Performance Systems are an interactive classroom tool. Students use handheld sensors to respond to questions, either individually or in teams. Use this tool to determine how well your students are understanding the material as the class progresses, or for pop quizzes or test reviews.

The 2009-10 course offerings for the Certificate in Adult Education program are now available.  Registration for the fall term opens at 9:00 a.m. August 5, 2009.

Many faculty are discovering that a SharePoint site can make it easy to share class and program related information with their students. This guide is designed to introduce faculty to the concept of using SharePoint in the classroom at Red River College.
