RPL Policies
There are three policy documents which outline the RPL process at Red River College:
- RPL Policies and Procedures A14 (1994, revised July 2002, August 2007, June 2009) provide the standard for RPL implementation across the college. RPL at Red River College includes transfer of credit from formal post secondary education and training.
- Transfers Between RRC Programs A15 (1995, revised August 1996) pertains to the transfer of grades and or credits between programs.
- Transfer of Credits to RRC Programs from Other Post-Secondary Institutions A16 (1994, revised August 1996) describes transfer of credit from external institutions.
- Assessment of External Courses from Non Post Secondary Institutions for College Credit A17 (1998) - pertains to the assessment of courses offered through business, industry and other non post secondary educational organizations to determine if the courses are equivalent to learning required in College courses.
These policies are available in the College Policies and Procedures Manual. The policies are based on national and international, quality academic and administrative standards for prior learning assessment and recognition.
